One professor in the Department of German Studies has been promoted, demonstrating excellent performance in teaching, service and research.

 

Dr. Janice McGregor is promoted from Assistant Professor to tenured Associate Professor.

 

Also a faculty member in the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT), McGregor’s research is centered around three interrelated strands: Language learning, identity and learner beliefs; Culture and intercultural learning, especially in study abroad; and Qualitative research methods in German applied linguistics. She completed her Ph.D. in German Applied Linguistics at Penn State and subsequently held the position of Assistant Professor of German at Kansas State University from 2012 to 2018.
