The National Center for Interpretation and the Graduate College are pleased to announce the competition for the 2018-19 NCI Graduate Fellowships.
Awards: Two cash awards provided by the Graduate College, each consisting of $6,250.00, and one or more Graduate Tuition Scholarship/s of up to $8,614.50 per year.
Description: NCI’s Graduate Fellowships support individual graduate students from the College of Humanities with translation and interpreting studies research projects. Graduate Fellowships are one-time awards for individual applicants. Applicants should propose activities that can be completed within one semester. Projects must be finished by the end of the semester.
Before preparing a proposal, applicants should familiarize themselves with the mission, vision, research, and training programs NCI supports.
Award Amount: $6,250.00 (to two single applicants)
Proposal Due Date: March 15, 2018 (before 5 p.m.)
Award Announcement Date: April 30, 2018
Project Implementation Date: 2018-2019 Academic Year
Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in one of the following programs:
• A graduate program (PhD preferred) in the College of Humanities (COH)
• A relevant Graduate Interdisciplinary Program (GIDP) firmly connected to COH, such as Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT).
Applicants must also demonstrate financial need.
